Ensemble Singing
A Music Theory workshop for adults!
Have you ever been cast in a musical and found yourself getting frustrated or drifting off while learning ensemble vocal parts? Then this class is for you! Learn how to interact with music better in this one-day only workshop with guest instructor Delaney Ross. The course will focus on music theory, notation techniques, and understanding how to learn harmonies faster and more accurately.
Registration opens April 30. Students should bring a water bottle.
About the Instructor
Delaney was born and raised in Kona and spent most of her childhood days at the Aloha Theatre and has been involved in over twenty productions. While attending Barnard College of Columbia University in New York City, Delaney studied Ethnomusicology and musically directed the Columbia Clefhangers, a co-ed a cappella group. Delaney has studied classical voice at Manhattan School of Music with Tony-nominated baritone Spiro Malas and acclaimed tenor Jean-Paul Bjorlin. She received her Master’s in Education from the University of Edinburgh and is the Aloha Teen Theatre Advisor. She looks forward to moving to LA this fall to begin her PhD work in Ethnomusicology at UCLA.
