Aloha Teen Theatre (Friday Meetings)

Registration for the 1st semester of Aloha Teen Theatre (ATT) 2021 - 2022 is now open!

ATT is a FREE weekly program for ages 13-18 to gain new skills, build connections, and be inspired by the arts! ATT is open to teens of all backgrounds, experiences, and styles. Whether you were professionally trained, have never opened a script in your life, or are somewhere in between- ATT is for you!

We’re excited to announce that ATT will be meeting in person! This means that spots will be limited, so registering in advance is strongly recommended. All instructors and Aloha Theatre staff will be fully vaccinated, we encourage students to be vaccinated. All participants will be required to wear masks at all times and social distancing measures will be enforced. At any time ATT meetings may be moved online if circumstances require it.

ATT will offer two meeting times this semester! You may attend on either Wednesdays OR Fridays (not both) from 3:30 - 5:00pm. This is an effort to create “pods” and mitigate the risk of COVID-19 exposure and spread. Both groups will share the same the curriculum and the intention is to merge these two groups in the future as circumstances permit. This is the Friday registration form. Click here to register for Wednesday meetings instead.

This semester ATT will be led by the Aloha Theatre's new Education Director, Sara Athans. Sara holds a BA in Theatre from the University of Texas and a Master's in Applied Theatre from London's Royal Central School of Speech and Drama. Sara has extensive experience as a theatre instructor and facilitator with a variety of ages and populations. She is committed to creating theatre that is accessible, equitable, and joyful.

Attendance

Attendance is important! In theatre we rely on each other and need consistency to be successful. Students are encouraged to attend every ATT meeting, if a student has two or more unexcused absences in a month we'll sit down and assess changes that can be made to ensure that student's success moving forward.

Further questions regarding ATT and/or meeting in person may be sent to sara@alohatheatre.com

*Please keep in mind that due to the evolving COVID-related restrictions, all activities are subject to change. We will do all we can to follow the planned calendar, but understand cancellations or postponement may occur.
