Aloha Theatre

It's been a while! Get those vocals warm, learn audition preparation techniques, and get performance ready with this vocal class at Aloha Theatre. In this workshop you'll learn (or re-learn!) essential skills to improve your vocal performance. Students are encouraged to bring an audition song, but materials will be provided if you choose not to do so. We hope this workshop will give interested students skills and confidence going into auditions for Little Shop of Horrors, but participation will not be used in casting decisions.

At this time Aloha Theatre is requiring that all students be fully vaccinated against COVID-19. Closed-toe shoes are required. Please bring a water bottle and wear comfortable clothes that you can move in.

About the instructor:

Delaney Ross was born and raised in Kona and spent most of her childhood days at the Aloha Theatre, and has been involved in over twenty productions. While attending Barnard College of Columbia University in New York City, Delaney studied Ethnomusicology and musically directed the Columbia Clefhangers, a co-ed a cappella group. Delaney has studied classical voice at Manhattan School of Music with Tony-nominated baritone Spiro Malas and acclaimed tenor Jean-Paul Bjorlin. She received her Master’s in Education from the University of Edinburgh and is currently the theatre director and upper school drama teacher at Hawai'i Preparatory Academy.
